Leave the List is a service of Lazarus Labs, LLC (“we”). We collect the least we can to send privacy requests in your name, keep a record of what brokers answer, and send you that record. We do not sell or share your personal information, and we never use it for advertising.

What we collect

  • What you give us: your name, the email addresses you want removed, and optionally your phone, LinkedIn URL, employer and title, your country and state, and your typed signature.
  • Payment: Stripe processes your card. We receive the payment status and amount, never your card number.
  • Your email connection: the address of the Gmail or Outlook account you connect and a send-only permission (see below).
  • Broker replies: the messages brokers send back to your case address, and what each one said about your request.

How we use it

Only to deliver your case: to write and send deletion, do-not-sell and direct-marketing objection requests to the 128 brokers in our registry, to follow up, to classify their replies, to forward the ones that need you, and to email you a final case record.

Your Gmail or Outlook connection

When you connect Gmail we request the gmail.send permission; when you connect Outlook, Mail.Send (plus the basic sign-in permissions that tell us which address you connected). These let us send messages from your account. They do not let us read, search, modify or delete anything in your mailbox, and we do not ask for any permission that would.

We use the permission only to send the requests and second notices for your own case, addressed to the brokers listed in your case record, with replies directed to your private case address. Sending happens on servers operated by our processing partner Lazarus (Lazarus Labs, LLC), which store the permission encrypted and use it for nothing else. When your case closes, when you are refunded, or when you delete your case, we revoke the permission with Google or Microsoft and delete it. You can also revoke it yourself at any time in your Google Account (Security → Third-party access) or Microsoft account (Privacy → Apps and services).

Google API disclosure. Leave the List’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data to develop, improve or train generalized AI or machine-learning models, we do not transfer it to others except as needed to provide this service or as required by law, and no person reads it unless you ask us to, for security, or to comply with law.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to count visits to this website: the pages viewed, how visitors arrived, and their approximate region and device. Case pages are recorded without their private links or case numbers, and nothing you type into the form or anything about your case is ever sent. Advertising features are switched off. Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are counted only if they allow it, and anyone can decline; in every case Google Analytics does not store full IP addresses.

Who processes it

  • Stripe (payments) · Vercel (hosting) · Resend (our emails to you, and receiving broker replies) · Google (site analytics)
  • Lazarus Labs, LLC (storing your case record on its own infrastructure, sending from your connected account, and classifying unclear broker replies with an AI model that is not trained on your data)
  • The brokers themselves receive the identifiers you listed, because a request cannot be matched without them.

How long we keep it

Your case record is kept until your case closes and for up to 12 months after, so you can use it if a broker comes back. The final email includes a link that deletes it immediately. Unpaid checkouts are deleted within 48 hours. The sending records held by our processing partner are deleted 7 days after your case closes. Stripe keeps payment records as the law requires.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it, at privacy@leavethelist.com. Residents of California, other US states with privacy laws, the EU, the UK and elsewhere have these rights by law; we give them to everyone. You may also complain to your data-protection authority.
